The board, on the recommendation of the pi'hlic meeting, decided to purchase the wharf from Mr. Cave for £3so.The board's terms arc:—£so deposit paid when contract is signed and the balance when the repairs are completed A committee, consisting of the chairman, Messrs Cornish, Vickery, and Campbell, was appointed to make the necessary arrangements with the bank. The attendance at the householders' meeting was poor. The committee elected were: —Messrs Mildenham Ma\colm, Burton, Scott, Sinclair (secretary).
