ELTHAM.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Eltham, May 6. Our member, Mr. C. A. Wilkinson, has been notified by cable that his son, Harold, who holds a lieutenant's commission and won a couple of medals, has been granted six months' furlough, during which he may visit New Zealand. There are many who will be pleased to see the Elthamite back. At the dance held last week in aid of soldiers' comforts 200 couples took the floor. The music was supplied by Kirk's orchestra (Hawera), Foster and Beesley, and much enjoyed, whilst Messrs J. L. Campbell, H. de Launay, and W. D. Ross were the very best of M.sC.
