MOA ROAD BOARD.

ELECTION OF FIVE MEMBERS.

The election of five members of the Moa Road Board caused by the retirement in rotation of Messrs A. Corkill, J. M. Hair, J. Hunter, A. 10. Laurence, and H. Trimble took place on Saturday. There were seven candidates, including four of the retiring members, Mr. A. E. Laurence not seeking re-election. The election resulted in the return of three of the retiring members and Messrs D. Todd and R. T. Williams, the latter an old member of Iho board. . Mr. 11. Trimble, until recently chairman of the board for many years, and Mr. J. Diggins were defeated. The voting ligurcs were: Alfred Corkill 225, David Todd 201, James Hunter IDS, J. M. Hair 188, R. T. Williams 179 (elected), H. Trimble ,100, J. Diggins 00.
