W. C. T. U. CONVENTION.

The W.C.T.U. Convention was addressed to-day by the Rev. J. Dawson, secretary to the N.Z. Alliance, who spoke of the concerted action necessary to secure national prohibition. Resolutions recorded sorrow for the death of Dr. Bedford and appreciation of his services, and thanks for ladies' car on the North Island main trunk line and a, suggestion that one be put on the main South Island mail trains.
