i (From Our Own Correspondent.) Eltham, March 4, The Egmont Licensing Committee consists of Messrs. E. Parratt, W. C. Clement (Eltham), T. P. Hughson (Rahotu), McNeill (Auroa) and R.- W. J. O'Brien (Opunake). The Mata school picnic was held in Mr. Joseph Boo.tten's paddock on Friday, ' and all Mata made it a "day out," consequently all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Races for children formed this chief items of interest, but there were : also races for adults. The thanks of i the committee and parents are due to Mr. Bootten for his grounds. , - ! Mr. Sharp was coming down a short by-road to join the main road, and here he met Mr. Glass, The impact threw the latter to the ground, causing the injuries stated abovfcAfter rendering first aid, Mr. Sharp Motored the man to Hawera hospital.
