THE 1918 EDITION. j The 1918 edition, which has just been I published and circulated all over Tara- j naki, Wanganui, Rangitikei and Mana- ' watu by the publishers, W. A. Parkinson and Co., Ltd., has been thoroughly revised and brought up to date in respect to the varied information for which the book is well known. The almanack lias been used by farmers and business men in all parts for many years, and been found af very great use, combining, as it does, ni« functions of calendar, diary and actfount book. In addition it contains summary of postal, telegraph and telephone guide, principal statutes, dates of sittings of borough and county councils, education boards and Supreme. Court. Complete particulars will bs found of last censu# and last valuations with reference to boroughs and counties, political, agricultural and pastoral statistics, general election and licensing returns. A section which will be of use to settlers in town or country will be the garden calendar, compiled from the experience of men who have long lived on the coast. There are also many and varied points of interest to the farmer. The Star Almanack can be procured at all booksellers and stores in Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu and Rangitikei, or will be posted to any address fJom the office of the publishers, Regent street, Hawerct. ,
