RE-EXAMINATION OF "D" MEN. OWING TO ERRORS IN GRADING. Wellington, Last Night. The Director General of Medical Services has sent a memo to the Minister of Defence regarding the cases which had been originally classed D, who had been called upon to present themselves for medical, re-examination. Colonel Henderson states that in the beginning the medical" boards had insufficient experience to guido them in the grading of the men partihillv unfit for service. They did not fully understand that the men must) not be so graded unless they were mental or physical wrecks. Some of the men who were graded D should have been ranked C, or even higher. The medical board which is re-examining the files of the C men also looked over those of the D men, and when it was apparent that, they should not bo classed D, and that possibly they might be made fit for active service, the men were called up for re-examination. ,
