RIDER OP MOTOR-CYCLE KILLED ON RAILWAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last, Night. •Tack McCarty, aged 41, a blacksmith and horse dentist, died at the hospital as the result of a collision between his motor-cycle and the Napier express from Wellington, at an open crossing, in full view of the train. McCarty must have mistaken his pace, and trusted to get clear over, but was caught full on and jammed between the Bmoke box and the cowcatcher, being frightfully injured.
