DEATH FROM BUSHFALLING INJURIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Blenheim, Nov. 28. Michael Ryan, aged 3G, a single man, died as the result of injuries received while bushfelling in the Opouri valley. A tree fell, breaking both his legs and one arm. DROWNED WHILE FISHING. Thames, Nov. 26. Percy Baker and Alfred Houghton, while fishing from a rock, wore surrounded by the rising tide, "Houghton swam ashore, Ibut BaJker' apparently struck his head on a rock while diving and was drowned. He was a member of a well-known Thames family. One of bis brothers is a director of' the school of mines and another is at the front. The deceased man leaves a widow.
