HIGH COMMISSIONER'S RRPORT. The Deportment of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce lias received tlie following cablegram, dated London, Xovember 17, from the High Commissioner for New Zealand. (Note: Quotations, unless otherwise specified, are average market prices on spot.) Meat.—Home-killed beef is very scarce, a .large proportion of secondclass quality selling at 12d. Homekilled mutton and Scotch lambs are in fair supply, 13d. No frozen moat has been released during this week by order of the Government. New Zealand mutton and lamb, no supplies available, no ■potations. Argentine mutton and lamb, llVjsd. Argentine beef, no supplies available, no quotations. Butter.—All descriptions of butter arevery scarce, no official quotations with tlie exception of Paris, '255s 8d; Dutch, 2205; Danish and Dutch, small shipments. There is dissatisfaction on account of maximum prices. Cheese. —Cheese is in small supply. English cheddar, 1425; all others at Government price. Hemp.—Manila and New Zealand markets, no change to report. Stocks hero at October of this year: Manila, 15,134 tons; New Zealand, 502 tons, against 9394 tons and 443 tons respectively last year. Manila output this year up to November 12. 1,085,000 bales, against 1,039,000 bales last year. Cocksfoot. —Market firm, but little doing; Good Danisli quoted £8 sa, ex warehouse. Wheat and Oats.—Market quiet, with no alteration in prices.
