ANNUITIES AND INCREMENTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Diinedin, Lost Xight. The Presbyterian Assembly special committee on beneficiary funds recommended that regulation 14 of the ministers' widows and orphans fund be altered to provide that a member who attained the age of 05 shall, on resigning his appointment, be entitled to an annuity of .£SO, with £1 additional for each year of ministerial service prior to Janrary 1, 1017, and £2 for each subsequent year. The assembly may. on the recommendation of the committee in charge or the fund, alter the increment for service prior to January, 1017, up to, but not exceeding, £2 for each year, the increase to remain in force till the next assembly. As the result of the special appeal for £15,000 for increasing annuities, practically the full amount has been promised. The report was referred to a committee to report upon to a future sitting. The present sessions beneficiary fund committee reported the income, as £8344. and the expenditure £4300, the credit balance being £02,380. OTHER MATTERS. Miss Jessie Cairns, of Duncdin, was appointed second Sunday school agent, at a salary of £l5O, with £SO for travelling expenses. It was stated that the church had 735 Sunday schools. 3028 teachers, 38,225 scholars, And that the revenue for the year was £OOOB. The fire insurance committee reported that the insurances in force amounted to £200,111, the amount to the credit of the fund was £2358, the losses for the year £53. The Rev. Balfour stated that all the eligible men from the Theological Hall had gone to the front, no exemption being asked for. Eight of them had lost their lives.
