FIERCE FIGHTING IN BERLIN. REBELLIOUS SCENES IX WORKERS' DISTRICT. POLICE USE FIREARMS. Received Nov. 21, 8.15 p.in Amsterdam, Nov. 20. Rebellious scenes occurred in the Berlin working-class district on Sunday, owing to police efforts to suppress hunger peace demonstrations. There was fierce lighting, wherein the police used firearms, it is reported there were heavy casualties. OFFICIAL REPORT. ATTACKS REPULSED. Received Nov". 21, 8.50 p.m. London, Nov. 20. A wireless German 'official report states: There has been a violent artillery duel from'Houthiilst Wood to Zandvoorde. We repulsed an attack on Cliamne Wood. _'■ We drove back, after desperate fighting, strong Italian counter-attacks on .the northern slope of Monte Tombar. PEACE MEETINGS. Amsterdam, Nov. 20. Many meeting's in favor of peace wore, heid throughout Germany on Sunday night. 'How Seheidomami addressed a crowded gathering at Dresden, Al! the meetings passed resolutions in favor of the Bolshevik peace proposals, including no annexations and no indemnities.
