BATTLE GROWS IN VIOLENCE, FRESH ENEMY CONTINGENTS. _. Rome, Nov. 19. The military critic of the Corriere delta Sera says that according to prisoners' statements fresh enemy contingents have arrived on the Piave from the Russian front. The battle continues to grow in dimensions and intense violence. General Krobatkin, descending from Carnia and Cadore, is directing the attack, supported by lightning thrusts by Hoctzcndorir on the Asiago plateau, but the enemy attacks at Quero, on the Piave, broke down before the stubborn resistance of the Como brigade. The battle continues to develop violently in the mountain regions of Trentino. ITALIANS HOLD UP* ADVANCE London, Nov. 10. Italian official: The enemy violently concentrated his fire on the positions on the Asiago plateau, but did not attack. We reoccupicd our advanced trench elements. Strong enemy forces are attacking Monte Monfievero and Monte Lomba lines. Southward of Manero we prevented fresh attempts to cross the Piave. A GERMAN REPORT. London, Nov. 10. We stormed Monte Cortello and drove the enemv from his positions on Monte Tomba, talcing 1100 prisoners.
