TROUBLE SPREADING. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Auckland, Oct. 17. Coastal steamer Awahou has been layed since 10 o'clock last night, the deck hands haying left after girUg 25 hours' notice, without giving a reason. So fa* the agents hare been nimble to fill theit places. The Awahou is ft vessel having only one seaman on a wateh at lea DECISION OF ARBITRATION COURT. Wellington, Oct. 17. The Arbitration Court gave a judgment to-day dealing with the interpretation of the points in dispute in the agreemenet between coastal shipowners and seamen. The points were decided in favor of the employers' viiw of thfl agreement. In regard to the two mfcn in a watch the court doubted its jurtkdiettal to deal with the question, but expressed the opinion that on the vessels in quesi tion it was not essential to safety to carry two deck hands in a Watch in addition to the officer.
