MARRIED MAN AKD GIRL DISAPPEAR. By Telegraph—Press Association Dunedin, Oct. 11. Margaret Martin, barely 17 years of Inge, residing at St. Clair, and Henry •Young, about 24 years of age, residing in •the same locality, and with a wife and two children, disappeared about the same time on Wednesday. The girl left home to go to the public baths, but 'did npt call there. Complete outfits of attire were found in the lupins at the beach, and have been identified as belonging to •Miss Martin and Young. In the early part of the week Young possessed a considerable gum of money. no busixesFsense. Wellington, Oct. 12. Edward Shaw, a returned soldier, came ■before the Supreme Court this morning for sentence on a charge of fraudulent sale of chattels. He was a lessee of Crown lands when the transaction was made, and counsel said it was quite possible that Shaw thought he was acting honestly. The Chief Justice said it was quite .clear that the man had Tin i""-iness sense whatever. He adjourned the case for 18 months in order to see how accused gets on in the meantime.
