There was a small entry for fat pigs and a large yarding of stores. Late high rates were maintained for both.

Kaponga Bull Pair, Bth.—There was a fair entry and attendance but vendors reserves were in many cases in excess of buyers limits, consequently, a good number were passed. Stony River Horso Fair, Monday Bth. ■The yarding was just about 4>o horses, but there was nothing much of quality yarded, and the demand was poor. Stratford, Bth,—There was a good entry which sold well under spirited competition. Inglewood, 'loth.—There was a, full 'yarding and a good attendance. For the l>ull fair the entry was good and I had strong competition throughout. Shorthorns were in very keen demand and sold up to £2,7, Holsteins made from £9 to £l3 10s, an aged pedigree Holstein Signs, a young pedigree Holstein (light in condition) 17gns, grade Jerseys up to £l4, pedigree yearling Jerseys (igns to 'l2Agns. In tile dairy pens I had a big yarding of springers which sold well. Cows sold from £9 10s to £lO 10s, best heifers up to £ls 10s, ■others, good sorts, £0 10a to £ 12, small £0 10s to £8 ss.
• Clearing sale, E. Doughertf, at Tataraimaka, llth.—The co\v 3 were a nice dairy line, all in full milk and in great condition. The best price obtained was •£2;4 10s, the herd of SI averaging £lO ■los, which must be a record price. The •line of Shorthorn calves out of these i'ows made £3 per head. Good farm 'horses sold' up to £2O, empty cows £9 to £ll 10s, yearling Jersey 'heifers £o 2s 6d.
