Tho order issued by the general officer commanding waa principally in the interests of the men. That whilst recognising the good work done by territorial officers belonging to the Second Division, it is regretted that no guarantee can bo given that v ail such officers will be appointed to the Esfeditionary Force with commissioned rank. That all holiday and other excursion fares have been cancelled until tho conclusion of the war, and H is not intended to make any oenceasion on the existing rates for Christmas or other holidays.
