BUTTER AND CHEESE
FURTHER STATEMENT BY MR MASSEY. By Wire.-r-Our Parliamentary Reprter. Wellington, Last Night. "I expected to get an answer rfora the Imperial authorities regarding cheese purchase during the week-end, but ncj communication has arrived," said Mr. Massey. "On Monday I sent another urgent cablegram, and I think the result will he to bring a definite answer within a day or two." A member: What about butter? Mr. Hughes has made a big deal for Australia. ' Mr. Massey: I think we can do better. Wo have better butter. Mr. Witty: Better for the public or better for the few people* Mr. Massey: Anything good for the producers is good for the whole country. Representatives of the butter producers will meet in Wellington next week to consider the offer made by the Imperial Government.
