TE HENUI LADIES' GUILD.

SALE OF WORK. The sale of work organised by the Indies* guild of the Holy Trinity. Te Hemii, was opened yesterday afternoon by the Ven. Archdeacon Evans. The schoolroom was well filled, and the attractive and artistic arrangement of the stalls was generally commented on. All the stalls were (happily only at the commencement of the sale) well laden with a wide assortment of ornamental and useful articles, which found a ready sale, the prices being very reasonable. Afternoon tea and supper were dispensed, and a very satisfactory sum was netted by those in charge. Though the weather was decidedly .unfavorable, the attendance was remarkably good, especially in the afternoon. In every way the function was quite successful, about £SO being realised. Half the proceeds will be devoted to the back blocks mission, and the remainder to the To Henui vicarage fund. The following is a list (as complete as possible) of the stall holders:

Sweets stall: Misses E. Whitcombe, Cutfield (2) and Foote. Produce: Mesdames Addenbrooke, C. Colson, Sal way and Gibson; Miss B. Matthews.

Plain work—Mesdames Foote and Fox Shilling stall—Mesdames Griffiths and Rennell, and Miss Fox. Afternoon tea--Mesdames Jones, Grogling and Cowling; Misses J. Colson, Lee and Hai-ding.
