THE BILL BEFORE PARLIAMENT I Wellington, Sept. 13. j Ths Toll Gates Abolition Bill, introjduced by Mr. Wilkinson, was discussed i ill tho House to-night. One gate collected .200 yearly. A fairer way would ue to give local bodies a general subsidy for the up-kecp of arterial roads. The debate was adjourned.—Hawera Star correspondent.
