CANTERBURY BEATS WELLINGTON tsy Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Sept. R. The final match of the Ladies' Hockey Tournament was played on Athletic Park as a curtain raiser to the interprovincial football match. The competing teams were Canterbury and Wellington. The match resulted in a win for the former by 4 goals to •>. For Canterbury Miss M. Pearce scored 3 goals and Miss Hanban 1. For Wellington Miss "Williams scored one and Miss Grant one, The hockey match played on New Plymouth racecourse on Saturday, between the Whakatika and the boys' team, resulted in a win for the latter by 0 goals to 3.
