A MINE CRATER TAKEN, Ixindon, Aug. 12. Sir Douglas Haig reports: The weather is wot. There was strong fighting for the possession of a mine crater eastward of Givenchy and La Bassee. We established ourselves in the crater. Enemy artillery is active east and north of V'prca.
