JAP AX AX.D AUSTRALIA. Xew York. Aug. 1. The Xew York Tribune's \Vashington correspondent and other papers quote an article by Woneda, a Japanese Parliamentarian. in tin* magazine Takvo, In which he says the war has brought the relations of Japan and Australia into a more friendly connection, but it is doubtful whether they will be cordially maintained after the war. Prior to the war Australia regarded the Japanese as destroyers of a White Australia, which is a ridiculous misconception. Australians made conditions with the British Admiralty before leaving .the patrol' of the Pacific to the Japanese. It appears probable that Australia's anti-Japanese policy will seriously afi'ect the AngloJapanese alliance when the rights nf the colonies in fnur.int British diplomacy are 310 re fully established. TUB REPATRIATION BILL. Melbourne, Aug. 1. 1 He Senate passed the third reading of the Repatriation Bill.
