PORTUGAL.
THE WORKERS' REVOLT. CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT MEASURES. Received July 18, 6 p.m. Lisbon, July 17. The Chamber has approved of the suspension of guarantees. Lisbon and neighboring villages have also expressed confidence in the Government's measures to suppress the workmen's revolt. All classes of 'workmen are co-operating, and will suspend work for two days. Newspapers have ceased publication.
