THE EMPIRE.

FINAL SCREENING OF "THE BE IDE OF HATE." '•This man, posing as mv friend, betrayed my niece, a child.'"' In these dreadful words, Dr. Duproz the grim ■hero of "The Bride of Hate" (screening for the last time at the Empire tonight) arrests the attention of the nvedding guests. Most pathetic in this scene is__ the shrinking figure of Margery Wilson, tho young girt whom Duprez haq forced to marry the blackguard thus described. The picture includes remarkable scenes of the Mississippi and luxuriant homes of the rich planters. Frank Keenan is the star. Billie Burke is screened in "Her 'Fighting Spirit," ahd the programme also includes the splendid local picture, "Beauties of Taranaiki." Owing to the theatre being ibooked to the Dandies there will be no pictures Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights. The usual picture matinee will be held Saturday afternoon.
