To the Editor. Sir, —Can you tell me how many cases of benzine or gasoline can he stored in a corrugated iron "building with residences all around? Several people witnessed over 100 cases going into a (building situated in these circumstances. Is this not a breach of the by-laws:? If it is some persons can do as they like in New Plymouth. Thanking you, Sir—l am, etc.j RATEPAYER, [The by-law provides that the maximum quantity allclvved in a building is 200 gallons, .providing the building is 20 feet clear of other buildings. In a properly constructed fire-proof magazine up to 1600 gallons may be stored, provided a licence is obtained from the ißorough authorities. —Ed.]
