A FARMERS' CONFERENCE.
AT NEW PLYMOUTH. IN CONJUNCTION WITH WINTER . . SHOW, The Taranaki Agricultural Society has arranged for a series of meetings which will be held in conjunction with the Winter Show next week. On Wednesday, at 11 o'clock, Mr. A. Morton, president of the National Dairy Association, will give an address on "The Dairy Industry." Mr. L. Hill, of Frankley Road, will follow, introducing the subject, "The Marketing of our Produce." The confer- 1 ence will then adjourn until the following day in order that those attending will be able to "attend the opening ceremony of the show, which has been fixed for 2.30 on Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, at 1.1 o'clock, Mr. J. B. Richards, of Stratford, will introduce the subject, "Farmers Owned Shipping," to be followed by an address by Air. R. Browne, director of agriculture, on "The Growing of Lucerne." If time permits discussions will also take place on "Cooperative Lime Works," introduced by Mr. A. C. Binnie; "Co-operative CalfMeal Works," introduced by Mr. F. Barker; and "Marine Insurance," introduced 'by Mr. G. Holden.
On Friday, Mr. E. Griffiths Trill give in address to :boys on a tyipical dairy
The meetings on Wednesday and Thursday will be held in the Good Templar Hall, and the time and place of meeting for Mr. Griffiths' address has yet to toe decided.
