RECORD DESTRUCTION OF SUBMARINES. London, May 17. Mr. Tickler, M.P., speaking at 'Grimsby, said that more submarines bad been destroyed in the past fortnight than in any previous fortnight. TWO MORE VICTIMS. New York, May 17. The Hilonian has ben torpedoed in the Mediterranean and four of the crew drowned. She formerly plied between an Francisco and Honolulu. Twenty-five Americans were on board. The Harpagus, of the Fabre Lima, has been torpedoed off Marseilles. Therei are no details.
SUCCESS OF ANTI-SUBMARINE MEASURES. Christiania, May 17. An improvement in shipping shares on the Norwegian market is regarded as proof of the success of the anti-sub-marine measures. ENEMY BASES AT MEXICO. New York, May 17. Lieut. Frank Wolf, the alleged German spy, confessed that Germany had planned submarine and Zeppelin bases ron the Mexican coasts, from which to raid the United States.
