DEDICATORY SERVICE. ENTHUSIASTIC DEMONSTRATIONS. London, April 20. There was bright sunsjiine and thousands thronged the streets to witness the Royal procession to S.t. Paul's to attend the American dedicatory service. The King (wore a field-marshal's uniform. There was a remarkable outburst oi enthusiasm, the crowds waving American and British dags. Mr. Page, the American Ambassador, welcomed the Royalists at the entrance of the Cathedral. Mr. Bonar Law, members of the Cabinet, Mr. Asquith, and overseas delegates were present. The American colony was largely represented. Twenty American Civil War veterans, wearing medals and carrying British and American flags walked in the procession through the city. Four' aeroplanes flew over as the King and Queen entered the cathedral. The Bishop of the Philippines preached the sermon. The American flag, for the Srst tfnio in history, floated boside the British flag on the Victoria Tower of Parliament buildings. Many public and" private premises were bedecked with American flags.
Received April 21, 5.6 p.m. London, April 20. In the procession of the Chapter, the Archbishop of ' Canterbury met tho Royalists at the west door. Among those present were the Queen Dowager Alexandra, tho Duke of Connaught, Princess Mary, the Princess Royal, Princess Maud and Princess Patricia. Mr. Page and the embassy party were loudly cheered in the streets. A notable feature of the service wba the singing of the American battle hymn.
DOCTORS WANTED. • *»■ WAR CABINET'S DEqiSION, **> Received April 22, 5.5 p.m.' London, April 21. The Press Bureau states tnat ho Derby, on behalf of the War Cabinet; in a letter to the medical profession, says the enemy are totally disregarding the universal tenets of civilised warfare and deliberately instituted the submarine campaign. Hence it is essential to establish many hospitals in the va> riots theatres of war, and therefore it is necessary to secure the services of every doctor who can be spared. The Government are in possession of figures showing, that the number available is more than sufficient if their work in Britain is undertaken by doctors over the military age. The War Cabinet has therefore decided to call up every doctor of military .age forthwith.
