GOLF.
WITIOKE CLUB. The Witiora Golf Club opened its season on Thursday afternoon, when about thirty members attended. The links were'in splendid order, and general approval was expressed with regard to the new hole which has been laid out. Mr. W.'G. P. O'Callaghan, president of the club, provided afternoon tea, and formally declared the links open. A fourball bogie hanidcap was played during the afternoon, the. best cards being returned by A. S. Hasell, 3 down, J. S. S. Medley 5 down, and W. Hooker 7 down.
