SOME IMPORTANT RESOLUTIONS. Auckland, March 29. The Christian Temperance Convention concluded to-day. Resolutions were passed urging the Government to take steps to protect parents, guardians, and doctors seeking or giving information on venereal disease in regard to men or women intending to marry, also protesting against introduction of the gambling element- into patriotic work, and requesting the Government to collect all necessary moneys by taxation and subscription; also urging the refusal of all racing and totaliaator permits during the war period.
