"ALL BRITISH."

IMPORTANT DISPLAY AT HAWERA. An exhibition of British manufactures is going to 'be a very important feature of the Hawera Winter Show, to be opened on July 2 next. The promoters of this show invited the Imperial Trade Commissioner (Mr. R. W. Dalton) to arrange for an exhibit of British goods, the space being provided free of charge. Mr. Dalton lias had the matter in hand for some time, and with the assistance of British firms and their local agents he has been able to make arrangements for an important exhibit. A meeting of exhibitors is to be held in Wellington on Monday for the discussion of details. Mr. Dalton is also in communication with the British Board of Trade with the object of supplementing the display. The people of Hawera have taken up this scheme with a great deal of enthusiasm. They are arranging an "all British" week that .will interest, not only the poople of Taranaki, but many .visitors from other parts of New Zealand. Tho shopkeepers of Hawera will make special displays of British goods during the show period, and other steps will be taken to direct attention to the iitiportanec of upholding British industry, wljich at present is concentrated so largely on the winning of the war. ,
