Following are the insurances on the premises and contents destroyed in last night's fire:—Lightband and Co., boot warehouse (owned by Frostjckand Co., Christchurch), building £BOO in the Sun office, stock £750 in the Royal Exchange, £1750 in the Alliance, £OOO la the New Zealand, £SOO South British, £3OO ■ Standard, £350 Queensland, £750 Liverpool, London and Globe, total £5(100; Jackson aftd Co., booksellers, buildings £750 Alliance, stock £I9OO Alliance; Buxton and Co., Ltd., bulk stores, 'buildings £IOOO, stock £4OOO, both in the New Zealand office (the loss is estimated at £3000); W. C. ijAncell, chemist, tailing £3OO Bun* stock £SOO New Zealand and £250 Standard, fittings £125 Standard.
