EVERYBODY'S.
«. A MAGNIFIENT FOX FEATURE. "SLANDER." "The finest Fox film yet" was the verdict of the crowded house in attendance at Everybody's last evening to see Madame Bertha Kalich in "Slander." Mother love forms one of the chief themes in this master motion picture, and the ability of Bertha Kalich as an emotional actress places her on a pedestal amongst motion picture stars. As her character in the film story of "Slander" Madame Kalich is ousted from lire home and divorced from her husband through the injustice of that cowardly weapon the name of which is used as the play's title. She is forced to leavetwo children, which parts are taken by the talented juvenile actor and actress, little Miss Jacqueline Morhange and Master Walter Ferguson. The wronged wife, after a long absence, returns to see her children, although the courts gave their father the custody. She is discovered by her husband, which part is acted by T. Jerome Lawler. The latter returns to discover his divorced wife with the two little children, and a scene follows which is a wonderful piece of acting on the part of the great star, her opposite and the two littk/ones. Madame Kalich in this picture play does acting which critics assert is even'more wonderful than her stage triumphs. To-night will be the last screening of "Slander." and it is a feature that regular motion picture patrons cannot afford to miss. To-morrow's change of programme will feature a World film sensation, "The Perils of Divorce."
