SHACKLETON'S RETURN.

WELCOMED AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Feb, 32. At a civic reception to Sir Ernest Sliackleton and the other explorers, speeches of welcome and congratulation were made by the Mayor (Mr. Luke) and the lions. Allen and Hcrries. Sir E. Sliackleton's reply included thanks to the Imperial, Australian and New Zealand Governments for fitting out the Aurora, and tributes to his fellowexplorers, including those who had died. Sir Ernest also paid a special tribute to Captain Davis for his part in the work of rc-eciie. All the speakers paid tributes to the work of the late Dr. MeNab, as Ministi-i of Marine.
