ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
DROWNED WHILE BATHING. By Telegraph.—Pros? Association. Hastings, Feb. 12. Frank Watson, a farmer and stock dealer resident in Karania Road, aged 50, was drowned while bathing at Wav inarama yesterday. 1). A. Graham- and S. W. Waters vainly attempted to rescue him and reached shore exhausted. Mrs. Watson and many others witnessed the fatality, but were powerless to help. A DETERMINED SUICIDE. Auckland, Feb. 12. Annie Kadrteker, a 'Married woman, committed suicide at .<om last evening. She was found by her husband hanging by a piece of rope tied to a bed-post. She has pieviously attempted suicide by poison.
