PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE.
Tlic adjourned meeting of the New Plymouth Patriotic Committee was Jtcld in the Soldiers' Club last night. Present: The Mayor (Mr. C. 'I. !' 11 l'i'oss), Messrs. L. jr. Montealh, (' li. Jkdl rin<;er, .1. li. Hill, ,r. l'nioii. W. 11. Vkey. Sadler, mid W. .J. Chancy.
The committee accepted with rcret Hie resignation of Air. -I. E. Wilson, ami recorded its appreciation of the good work thai hail been done bv him. Mr. Burgess was nominated to take Mr. Wilson's place, hut the appointment was held over until after the New Year.

Expenditure: To Women's Patriotic Committee, November and December, £*2oo; Tilind Soldiers and Sailors, £100; Y.JI.C.A. —Soldiers' comforts, in trenches XSOO, management charges £so £350; donation, to Salvation Army, £3O; Wounded Soldiers' Fund, balance transferred to Taranaki Provincial War lielief Association, £3l? 10s: Y.M.C.A., balance at November 30, 1010, £fifi 14s 2d—£108") 40d, leaving a balance of £7Ol 8s fid. \ The balance in 'hand for the Y.Jt.C.A was £O, the old Patriotic Fund Account stood at £204 12s Gd; • the Wounded Soldiers' Fund at £SO 10s, and the Comforts Committee Fund at £s'2o.^
