Tlic adjourned meeting of the New Plymouth Patriotic Committee was Jtcld in the Soldiers' Club last night. Present: The Mayor (Mr. C. 'I. !' 11 l'i'oss), Messrs. L. jr. Montealh, (' li. Jkdl rin<;er, .1. li. Hill, ,r. l'nioii. W. 11. Vkey. Sadler, mid W. .J. Chancy.

The committee accepted with rcret Hie resignation of Air. -I. E. Wilson, ami recorded its appreciation of the good work thai hail been done bv him. Mr. Burgess was nominated to take Mr. Wilson's place, hut the appointment was held over until after the New Year.
