THE BAGHDAD RAILWAY.
TAURUS TUNNEL PIERCED. GERMANY SCORES. Received Nov. 26, 5.5 p.n.. London, Nov. 25. Sofia reports that the Baghdad railway tunnel through the Taurus Range has been pierced. The Evening News comments that in h year the dei'iimns have shortened the Berlin-Baghdad journey by a fortnight. The Daily Mail says the tunnel has overcome the last natural obstacle to German control of the Berlin-Baghdad line, which menaces Egypt and India, adding: We wrecked our opportunities as regards the Balkans and Belgium in 1"1 Serbia in 1915, and Koumania in 1916.
