'«OOT CONTRACTOR PENALISED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Oct. 28. The Hon. A. M. Myers, Minister of Munitions and Supplies, has informed a Post rpeorter that the military eontractor for boots failed to supply them up to standard, and the Minister had caused all rejccted'articles to be returned and the supplicc to be rectified at his expense. He has also penalised the contractor to the extent of £2OO. The defence authorities have decided that in future no man under 20 years of ago will be accepted for homo service or service abroad whether fit or unfit. Youths under 20 who get into camp will be court-martialletl upon discovery for giving wrong information.
