i. GREEK GOVERNMENT BANKRUPT. PAYMENT SUSPENDED. Received Jet. 0, R. 40 p.m Athens, Oct. 5. Owing to the shortage of money the Greek Government has suspended' payment. NATIONAL ARMY INCREASING. London, October 5. The Daily Chronicle's Athens correspondent says that 200 officers and 2000 soldiers have left the Piraeus for Salonika, where the National Army now numbers 10,000.
