Dr. Bray, recently in charge of the Military Hospital at Cairo, giving evidence before a Parliamentary Committee investigating venereal diseases, stated that during seven months the hospital treated nine thousand cases among British, Australian and New Zealand troops. Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson (GovernorGeneral), Mr. Hughes (Prime Minister) and other Federal Ministers participated in 'the opening ceremony of the new tenstoried headquarters of the Commonwealth Bank, situated at the corner of Pitt and Moore Streets. It is one of the finest buildings in the city, and has suites provided for the Governor-Gen- ! eral, iPrime Minister, and members of I the Ministry.
