BALKANS OFFENSIVE BEGINNING.
BULGARS EVACUATING MONASTIIi. Received August 21, 7 p.m. / Athens, August 20. It is reported that the Serbians are advancing on Fiorina. The Bulgarians are evacuating Honastir. The Bulgarian Minister visited M. Zaimis on Saturday morning and announced that the Germans-Bulgarians' general attack is now beginning. "THE BEST POSITIONS." A BULGARIAN 1 STATEMENT.Received August 21 10 p.m. Amsterdam, August 21. M. Radioslavoff, Bulgarian Prime Minister, speaking in the Sobranje, stated as the Entente troops continually attacked the Bulgars for some days, the latter counter-attacked and advanced in order to secure the best positions, which had been done. The Government was hopeful this would not be followed by other complications. The last sentence apparently refers to the likelihood of trouble owing to the operations of Greece. DEPLORABLE CONDITIONS. CREEKS RECEIVING SHORT SHRIFT. Athens, August 20.' The conditions of the Greeks on the Black Sea coast are deplorable. The Turks, owing to the Russian advance, are clearing the inhabitants of the villages and sending them to the interior to concentration ;amps, on foot and almost without food. The Turks en route rob these pitiful caravans of every possession. The children are taken to the villages and converted to Islamism and the soldiers commit brutalities on the women and girls. i Berlin, August 20. Our allies in the Balkans captured Banaca and threw the Serbian Drina division from the dominating heights north of 03trobalake and repulsed coun-ter-attacks. '
