At Burnside prices were firm and gradually improved by about £l. Prime were a little dearer. Towards the dose values hardened somewhat. Best wethers ;13s to 375, extra prime 435 ( good 30s Gd to 325, medium (unfinished) 2Ss to 295, best ewes 27s to 31s, extra heavy 413 9d, medium 20s to 235.
Lambs.—Graziers were bidding. Unfinished, best, 2ls to 20s Oil, extra heavy 30s to .'Us, others ISs to lfls fid.
There was a small yarding of pigs, and prices were about the same as last week. f* ELTHAM STOCK SALE, if r At Wednesday's stock sale there was a fair yarding in the yards of the Farmers' Co-operative Organisation of New Zealand. Prices were advanced for dairy cattle and for pigs, but late rates were ruling for weaners and yearlings. Quotations were:—Pigs: Stores from £1 10s to £1 18s, weaners 20s to 235. breeding sows £0 10s. Sheep: Lambs 10s to £1 10s, wethers 13s lOd to £1 14s 3d. Cattle: Store cows £7 to £S Bs, fat and forward cows £S 10s to £lO 17s, store 'and forward bullocks £9 to £ll lis, weaners £2 lis to £3 os. yearlings £3 10s to £4 13s, dairy heifers £8 to £lO 15s. dairy cows £7 10s to £lB, v
