The Forth and Clyde Canal burst at Clydebank and great volume!, of water poured into the town, flooding the streets to a depth of three feet, also shops, houses and shipyards. There .were exciting scenes, and horse-drawn ionics were used as ferries. The floods are now controlled. The damage is heavy, but there were no casualties.
