'' To the Editor. Sir,—My attention has been called to a statement, appearing in your paper that the Riveulale Co-op. ' Dairy Co. would probably pay out Is lOd for but-ter-fat for the past season. I may say that this report did not originate from the office of the company. In fact, to anyone who understands the business the idea of paying out the price mentioned (even on the high prices for cheese that have been returned this season) is an absurdity. [We got the information from what hitherto has proved a reliable source and published it in good faith. The local, said ''nearly Is lOd," not Is 10d, and "nearly l s lfld'' is not an "absurdity" for a cheese factory that had the luck to catch the high markets for the bulk of i(s output to pay out—Ed.]
