"I AM DEAD!"

A WOMAN'S END. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, June 11. The dramatic announcement, "I am dead," was contained in a letter addressed to the police, and received through the post, at Auckland station. It was signed by Margaret Colquitt. The name is that of a woman who escaped from PaUatoa with two others,, who were recaptured. Colquitt has not since been traced. The letter goes on to state that the writer was inditing the letter "in the bush," and that she was starving and intended to do away with herself, and that "you will find my body in the water somewhere." The police had not traced her at five o'clock today.
