THE ALIEN HUN.
To the Editor. :*£!ir. —Allow me to express my t'ery great appreciation of your leading article on Friday last. Kid-glove handling where naturalised and unnaturalised Germans are concerned, that nation having proved itself a race of, superfiends, is raving lunacy. I strongly endorse the views expressed in the article as to the steps should be taken with the Hun aliens, and also their property. It only other leading papers of the Dominion would take up the matter in the same way,' the Government would sooniber.compelled to enforce the right measures. I nqtice in your issue of to-day that the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce has just pased a resolution that "The Government should at once be urged to intern aft alien subjects, especially those who'have held official positions in the -past,; and that precautions should be taken on the waterfront with regard to the loading and manning of., pur ships." Let us "all insist on the" government' taking such steps, and- .at 6nce. ; It is little use bolting the stable door when the steed is stolen.—l am, etc., • r" ~i ' . BRITON. • Smart Road 1 , June 10.
