FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. The Labor Department reports:—The condition of trade. and labor generally continues satisfactory and (here is no unemployed in New Plymouth. The various skilled trades are quite up to the standard of last month, and the outlook for the winter is encouraging. The building trade is still Imsy, and carpenters are in demand. The engineering trade in all branches shows a falling off_ but boot factories are busv and workers are required. The local shirt factory has been extended in consequence of increased trade, and good machinists could he placed. Retailers report business as good, and several drapery firms are arranging to enlarge their premises before the next season opens. Prospects for winter are bright,
