FIGHTING AT QUATiA. ENEMY WITHDRAWING. Wellington, April 28. The High Commissioner reports under date London, April 25, 3.20 p.m.! — The fighting in the Qua-tia district was more severe than at first intimated. One of our mounted brigades was engaged all day with the enemy. On Monday eight aeroplanes attacked Quatia, effecting a complete jurprise. The hostile camp was completely destroyed, <snd tlie enemy suffered severe casualties from bombs dropped and machine-guu fire. There has been no further fighting since Monday, and the enemy appeared to be withdrawing froifi the Quatia district • PURSUING THE TURKS. AN AEROPLANE RAID. London, April 25. The Suez action was more severe than reported. A company of the Royal Scots gallantly defended the Dueizar oasis, the enemy leaving a hundred killed and prisoners., The Australian Horse, pursuing, inflicted further loss and took prisoner a number of others. One mounted brigade was engaged throughout the day. Eight aeroplanes surprised and completely destroyed the jnemy camp at Quatia. The Turks retreated., suffering severely from bom.bs and machine-guns.
