McLaren is heartily endorsed by the Wellington Red Cross Society, and is being taken up by active workers :~r "There is no way to more fittingly mark our high appreciation of our heroes of Anzae, who were wounded in our defence, than to present a universal gift of money and goods, through the Order of St. John and the British Red Crosß, to sick and wounded soldiers. It will give fresh inspiration if in all cities, towns, Jnd districts prompt action is taken in this direction on Anzae Day, 1916."
